The Role
The internship was a great way to learn about the industry, an enjoyable way of networking.
My colleagues let me know the value of my work and welcomed me into the team.
I was supported throughout all my training and when preparing my presentation.
I had a vast array of both linework and project work. Therefore I was very busy on a daily basis, always working on smething whilst in the office.
I was given important linework to do everyday from the second week onwards, I took full responsibility for these processes.
The skills I have develpoed here are highly transferable and will therefore be very important in the future.
The Company
The staff were very driven and committed and well motivated given there were staff shortages.
Very organised, it was very clear what my roles would be from very early on, they had planned project work for me to do.
Difficult to say as only spent a couple of months. On a smaller scale, they invested in me a lot by giving me good quality training.
Company Parties/Events
There are a lot of exciting prospects at UBS, it would be a privelage to get an offer from them.
The Culture
Yes there was a good atmosphere amongst the interns, opportunities often arose to socialise with them, I took those opportunities.
The cost of socialising was high as it is central London Regarding living, I am not too sure as I commute from outside of London.
Due to my travelling pattern, i.e. commuting out of London, I never spent enough time in the area to accurately judge. I was rarely in the area after 8pm.
Yes,all interns volunteered outside of work, I also had the opportunity to help run the Operations fun-day.
