The Role
Overall a very well structured internship with plenty of social and professional events.
Colleagues did leave me with genuine projects that were of value to them
Slightly less so from my manager given their workload, but others were happy to advise me.
Started slowly and there were many slow days, but then there were also busy days depending on deadlines.
A reasonable amount, some projects were sent directly to external sources.
I learnt a lot about the industry and furthered my excel skills through project work.
The Company
Quite a tame and professional atmosphere, wasn't much sociability and my team didn't go for drinks or anything, but were all pleasant.
Almost perfect from HR
Plenty of learning events, although time on my desk was often spent self learning for projects given my teams workload.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
I had a great time, although at current other areas of the industry are more appealing, and maybe one day I hope to return.
The Culture
Yes the other interns were sociable and regularly went for drinks and food together. Good crowd.
Standard Canary Wharf prices.
Not great. The city has much more going on later into the night that Canary Wharf
Yes one could get involved in philanthropy and sports teams
