The Role
Fun and friendly working environment - enjoyable to be a part of
Always involved with the work completed by the team and asked to complete tasks by a range of different colleagues
Initial guidance given with tasks and able to seek further support if required
Time spent in the office was busy, but was not working ridiculous hours
Would have liked more responsibility - all tasks completed had to go through various review processes
Mostly enhanced key skills I already had (e.g. attention to detail, working to deadlines, teamwork etc.)
The Company
Office was enjoyable place to be with good mix of work and banter
Can't complain personally - my experience was well-managed
No specific personal training or development - just required to complete a range of tasks that helped me develop my skills independently
Flexi Time
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Would like to work for Ernst & Young as a graduate, provided their offer aligns with what I want to do. Really appealing working environment, but not willing to do something I don't enjoy just to work there.
The Culture
Fellow interns were particularly sociable and colleagues were also fun outside of work hours.
Lived and worked in Cambridge - stayed in normal uni accommodation, so fairly cheap for me. Cambridge more generally is pretty expensive though.
Cambridge nightlife is pretty standard - a few decent clubs and bars.
Opportunities were fairly limited - not many work-organised activities outside of work
