The Role
PLEASE NOTE: This review was for a placement at Watson Wyatt prior to Towers Perrin merging with Watson Wyatt to become Towers Watson. (The RateMyPlacement Team) Was kept busy and pushed the right amount.
Very easy to settle in. Friendly work environment.
Guidance was exactly at the right level and was available when necessary.
Some days were very busy and required working later - but that is far better than having nothing to do.
I was given work to do independently and the amount of instruction/guidance given was up to me.
Many of the skills learned are valuable in any profession but equally much of what I have gained are job specific.
The Company
Great work atmosphere and good after work socials.
Some of the training could have been done at a different time but other than that it was perfectly organised.
Large expense on travel costs to get all interns together for training. All sessions were run internally.
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Find out about jobs a month after the internship finishes.
The Culture
Good mixture between socails with other interns and colleagues.
Accomodation provided but restaurants/bars were London prices.
Reasonable number of bars close to office, very good for a small town.
Regular events after work or at weekends.
