The Role
I had previosuly considered a career in insurance and reinsurance broking but I saw this as an opportunity to see if I really wanted to work within the industry. This placement has 100% confirmed to me that I want to pursue a career in the industry. I have been supported throughout the entire process by enthusiastic and very friendly employees at Aon. Everyone has helped to get me involved and I have really felt that I have been valued by each of the teams that I have worked for. My supervisor (Alison Burgess) has been especially helpful, getting me into contact with different teams, helping me to get involved in different projects and offering support for whatever questions I may have had. The internship has been structured excellently so even outisde of the support of my supervisor, I have always had someone to talk to for whatever reason. This internship has been one of the best experiences that I have ever had and I am truely grateful to everyone who I have worked with for all of their support.
I really felt valued by everyone that I worked with. I really felt that my work was making a difference and helping the team progress with their projects.
I was able to access support from a number of different sources, each of which were excellent throughout the 9 weeks. Everyone that I have worked with was keen to follow up with me and open to answer any questions that I may have.
Perfect balance. I was never snowed under with work which enabled me to spend days with different teams within Aon Benfield's GRS department and gain valuable experience.
The internship offered the perfect balance between getting experience of the company and taking on responsibility for work within each of the teams. When I was given responsibility I felt like my input was truely valued.
Everyday provided some means of developing every facet of my skill set. The job has been highly diverse and stimulating.
The Company
Good fun, it was great to sit at your own station with members of a team.
Discussed in previous sections. Excellent organisation!
Discussed in previous sections. Everyone who I worked with was willing to invest their time in telling me in detail their role within each of the teams and how they fitted into the broader picture of Aon Benfield.

I haven't yet found out if I have got a place on next years graduate scheme yet but I would have no hesitations in taking a job if I was so lucky to be offered one.
The Culture
Perfect balance between socialising and work.
London isn't cheap but I was able to budget effectively in order to enjoy socilaising outside of work.
I have lived in London for a while but the nighlife is great.
I was invited to conferences and special events for cleints.
