The Role
Excellent variety of work as the programme was a rotation in different departments.
Excellent rapport with colleagues and other interns. Regular socials, and an awesome induction programme meant everyone was good friends.
HR were really good at providing continuous guidance, and in each department you were assigned with a buddy or a champion, who made sure all your needs were met.
Very busy, I always had a lot of work to do right from the beginning, which I enjoyed and meant I wasn't really ever bored.
I was given responsibility to speak to clients directly and to prepare advice, however, this was usually guided, and I wasn't given the responsibilty to deal with clients on my own, as expected.
This is an excellent professional experience, which helps to realise what working life at a great, international, expansive firm is like.
The Company
There were the occasional jokes and good humour, but sometimes the office was very quiet.
The placement was very structured, so everyone was in the right place at the rate time.
The company gave me the relevant safety / IT / tax training that I needed whilst here, this was to a good standard.
Company Parties/Events
The prospect for interns is excellent, as the firm is willing to recruit the interns who show good potential.
The Culture
Yes, almost everyone was friendly and socialised together.
Birmingham is no where near as expensive as London.
Off Broad Street!
Yes, there were sports organised, such as cricket, though the weather wasn't the best. Hockey was also there to attend.
