The Role
The objectives I was set were a wide variety but I also had the opportunity to tailor them more to the type of work I am interested in if I liked.
The work I was doing were live projects which the business genuinely needed to investigate.
My manager was great and was there for support if I needed it, but if not, left me to get on with it. This built my confidence knowing that he was happy to trust me with large, influential tasks
There were very busy periods and not so busy periods. I preferred the busy periods.
I was given as much responsibility as I liked and never felt restricted from what I was allowed to do.
I gained project and time managements skills and communicated with colleagues all over the world which was a great experience.
The Company
I was on a more sociable team who all seemed close. However, there were other teams that didn't seem to get on so well.
I never felt I didn't know what I was meant to be doing and felt help was there if needed.
I got to go on training courses and travel no less than any other employees.

There is no opportunity for a grad scheme and no grad intake. Therefore would have to reapply once leaving uni. Would be nice to have something secure after the placement year, although keeping in touch would be an advantage when reapplying.
The Culture
We did not really get on as a student group.
I lived in my uni town, no different to what Im used to.
Ok, socialised at uni as well as in the work town.
There were bike to work and sports day etc. Although employees tended to stay in social groups a bit.
