The Role
Good balance and interesting work
Well integrated from the outset, most seem interested to get to know new interns
Each intern is assigned a graduate 'buddy' to get to know immediately and for help throughout the internship and this worked really well
Generally very good, though there wasn't enough work on some days
I was taught very well and it's surprising how much useful grad-level work you can be doing within weeks
Working in a team, and working efficiently to deadlines is always helpful
The Company
Good, but mostly very quiet
Very well, from the technical training at the start, to the buddy system, to the work we were taught how to do
Purely training and exercises in the first week, and everyone who gave me jobs took the time to explain the calculations etc to me before hand
Company Parties/Events
Internships are a main source of new graduates
The Culture
Mostly met for lunch / sometimes at pubs after work
Some interns have rented places in London which is expensive, but I live within a reasonable commute so it was fine
Can easily get to anywhere in London
Quite a few social and sporting events
