The Role
Immediately felt comfortable in a collaborative environment. This made me more motivated to succeed.
Quite often it was necessary to ask for crucial information. However I think this is part of the assessment process and given the size of the organisation also a logitical issue.
It's not about running the show. Rather an internship at BP allows you to add value to the organisation from day 1.
Much more professional outlook on life. Also now that I like working in Oil & Gas I can focus my final year electives towards achieving that goal.
The Company
If the fun never stopped I'd imagine we would call it 'fun' rather than 'work'. However I always felt happy going to work.
Fantastic. The BP internship is dynamic so the HR segment want you to comment on the programme so that it they may make changes to improve year on year.
I am now fully capable on the workflow of an industry level software package. This training has heightened my employability by leaps and bounds.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
I am now investigating the plethora of oppurtunities within the organisation. The possibilities are endless.
The Culture
Living away from most of the interns made it difficult to socialise outside of work.
Expensive. It's London!
The business park is far removed from London. However, Richmond is only a short train journey away.
I used the gym facilities mostly. There were several social sports games that I had the ability to join if I wished.
