The Role
Good overview of the banking world in general. A lot to learn about accounts and finance. Gives you a great exposure
I was appreciated for the work i did for the team
Everyone is very welcoming and supportive
Some days were very busy others were a bit laid back. Use the free time to make notes on what you haev learnt and read more about the team and department.
I was given quite a bit of responsibility where i was working on a few reports on my own which later had to be reviewd by my manager before being sent
Ideal for people who want to learn about banking and finance and who are willing to work in this field in the future. A great experience. You get a great exposure and make some great contacts.Also learn about the RBS financial systems which aare very useful
The Company
it was quite busy and most people worked most of the time but were very friendly if you needed assistance
from the first day to the last, very smooth and well organsied
we were given an insight into the systems of RBS and some of the main legislations and regulations like Basel 3
Sports and Social Club
Quite good if you do well and show interest in the sector.
The Culture
Worked and met some great people. Every friday one of the interns or grads organised drinks so it was good fun
Worked in busy london city so one of the most expensive areas to be
Fairly ok. Many places to go to which are within a good distance and are reputable.
Quite a few. Fundraising, lottery, raffles, a quiz and many more including some presentations
