    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Depends on what is negotiated with team.

    3/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Colleagues were nice, though overall feeling I got was that there were too many interns there rotating about each year.

    3/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Management was helpful; but had to be prompted to contact us.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Work carried out may be important; but definitely not urgent.

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The range of activities did help me feel that University work was building up to something.

    3/5

    The Company

  • Quiet but people would talk when neccessary.

    3/5

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    2/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • In this current economic climate, very attractive! On itself, the job is rather desirable too!

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There weren't many of us placed in Lancaster, but it wasn't too bad.

  • The cost of living was affordable; Vue was exceptionally affordable!

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Only spent a little time in the local pub. Not much to go to especially when there are so few people around.

    2/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • More family oriented in general ie more people want to go home to their families than go out.
