The Role
Everyone was very welcoming and friendly, and I felt as if I really was one of the team!
Whenever I had any issues, everyone was more than willing to help no matter how busy they were.
From day one I was given real jobs and responsibilty, including contact with the client.
I feel the placement has put me in a great position for the future. It has helped me to decide how I want to focus my future and has given me a good introduction to the world of accountancy
The Company
Everyone was friendly and chatted, and there were lots of socials to get to know people well
Throughout the application process Deloitte were always in contact and kept me aware of how the process was going.
At the start of the placement we had to do a series of e-learning modules to train us for the following six weeks. They gave a basic introduction to the IT programmes we would use and the expectations of the company etc.
Company Parties/Events
I am awaiting interview for a graduate job to begin next year and am really hoping I am successful as Deloitte is the perfect place to work for me.
The Culture
The placement started with an induction week in Birmingham. This was more of a social task which allowed the interns to get to know each other. There were two socials arranged by the company for me and the other interns, and we also arranged events outside of work at least once a week.
Leeds is fairly priced.
There are many excellent bars to go to after work, a lot of which are close to the office.
There were socials organised almost weekly and despite being a summer intern I was still invited along. These were a great opportunity to get to know others in Deloitte that you haven't worked with.
