    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • RR provides you with two 6 month rotations during your placement which ensures you are always learning new skills.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The employees at RR give you real responsibility and therefore you as long as you perform you are extremely well received.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The managers are consistently there to help guide/support you through every project. They understand that every indivual is different and try to cater for you based on your preferences.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Your days can drastically vary. Typically during the first couple of weeks it is difficult to give you any tasks which you can really add value to, but this soon picks up!

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • They will give you the opportunity to shine and as long as you consistently perform there are plenty of opportunities to get very high levels of senior exposure.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • They skills learnt can vary drastically from simple work organsation to RR specific. But is is these general transferable skills which RR help to let you succeed in and over the time of your placement you will only see these dratsically increase.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Varied bewteen by two roles. The 'in the line' role was full of charecters and helped to esnure the day past at a much quicker rate. My second in the cenetral team consisted of only four people and as suh the 'banter' was not as standard.

  • This has been run for a long time and you can tell by the way they deal with you.

  • The company has every indiviual complete a inderpersonal development plan, of which your manager signs off on.

  • If you perform well in your placement, the likehood is you will recieve a job offer.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • A good number of other intern's which made for a good night life.

  • Derby is very cheap.

  • Derby nightlife is very average.
