The Role
Enjoyed it very much, work was real and the results I found where needed by the team. The tasks were varied as well......was never bored or lost!
Very good management team, incorporate you into the team immediately.
Given my own section of research that was challenging but help was always available.
Never clocked watch, most of the time you are preparing to show your results in a meeting, hence you don't have time to take your time (this is good, the days go really fast!).
My results was needed by the team, my work was not scrutinized for mistakes hence the level of trust was high and with that came responsibilty.
There is a lot of training in the job and is encouraged by management. Mostly the work was design which is directly related to my course. I definetly used my degree every day in the job and will use what I have learnt on the job for the rest of my degree...especially my design project.
The Company
Friendly, not particularly chatty but a nice working atmosphere.
Very well done. My line manager allowed me to choose on my first day what I would like to do. Human resources were excellent at sorting out all the issues with regard to changing location.
Invested a lot of time and money, plenty of opportunities to learn anything about the industry (during lunch n learns).
Subsidised Canteen
Financial Bonus
One of best salaries available for engineers, plenty of opportunities within the company allowing you get chartered quicker.
