    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The company culture stuck out as the best thing about my internship. Everyone was always very welcoming.

  • I felt comfortable with all the members, regardless of their seniority

  • Someone was always around to help. Tasks were fully explained as they were given.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I became very busy as I learnt more about the industry in general. More trust was put in me in the latter weeks of my placement which meant I became really busy.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was only there for 6 weeks so there was a limited amount of responsibility given. However, I did take my own training session by providing a presentation to my team.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • They would help with prioritising but I'm finished now anyway.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Brilliant environmrnt, great people to work with. Everyone seemed happy in the office it was not as daunting as i thought it may be!

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Very well organised, they had everything planned from start to finish and i feel like i learnt a lot.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • All of the team gave me their time and various members ran through training sessions with me. I didn't feel awkward about going to the team members and asking them questions about my day-to-day tasks. The HR department ran good soft-skills sessions too.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • The team often had social events but there wasn't much for the interns and colleagues of my age. I didn't end up getting to know the other interns that well.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Not cheap, alot of my salary went on the rent!

  • Not classic. There wasn't much that really went on very late.

  • A few but the team events seemed quite established already
