The Role
I didn't feel it was the right area for me
My managers very rarely recognised my work as being of a high standard, and made me feel like I was wasting my time
A couple of managers took the time out to sit down with me and explain when I did not understand
I was often left with nothing to do but was expected to work long hours
Not much responsibility, no interaction with clients
Time management skills will be useful but not financial skills
The Company
Not very welcoming or friendly between desks
HR organised it well with two separate rotations to get different exposure
One of training at the beginning of the internship including excel training and introduction to financial markets
Difficult to say as the wealth management department is to be sold
The Culture
Yes quite often we would go for drinks after work with other interns
Very expensive - in London generally
Lots of great things to do and places to go
None that were advertised to me
