The Role
GSK is a great company to work in - my department is especially fun, the people make the work great and I'm given enough challenge in my job.
We generally have lunches together, we've had a team day out. My manager always makes time to come and chat to all of us at some point during the day.
My manager has given me a whole lot of guidance, especially helps with my Uni coursework that I need to do this year!
Some days can be extremely busy, but I don't mind at all. Other days (e.g. at the start) there wasn't much to do except for training modules which were a bit dull but it can't be helped as they needed to be done.
I was given the chance to develop a proposal and present it to the senior members of the business, once I got it approved I was able to get it up and running, with help when I needed it.
A few online training courses available
The Company
Really fun office, people of all different ages but everyone was so friendly
It's been very good so far, I've got a few suggestions to improve it for next year's intake - so hopefully it'll be even better.
Training courses I went on cost the company money, but they were still happy enough to pay for it so that I could learn more.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Good, I hope!
The Culture
Loads of IPs working at GSK - great atmosphere!
Living in London is ofcourse expensive.. as is socialising but it doesn't mean that its not done!
Brentford itself isn't great - but we're only 30mins from Central London where the nightlife is brilliant, otherwise Ealing/Chiswick/Richmond/Kingston is also very close by.
There are lots of sports teams, we do charity days as teams.
