The Role
It was a job in an area requiring anaylytical skills and for this reason I really enjoyed it.
The colleagues were very helpful, eager to answer my questions and to assign tasks entailing a real responsibility.
My manager was really helpful as he acted not only as a boss but also as a teacher. He was always eager to answer my questions, allowing me to execute my tasks not in a purely mechanical manner, but understanding what was behid all the processes.
There was a good balance since some days were busier while other more calm. This was good because it gave me time to better understand where my functions fit in the whole processes of the division.
The amount of responsibility entailed by my tasks increased as the internship proceeded.
Many analytical insights that I received were useful to see how concepts I studied were applied in business. The technical skills I improved (especially Excel ones) will be for sure useful not only in my future working life but also during my studies.
The Company
The atmosphere was really welcoming. This helped me in integrating with the team.
The organisation was good overall. I had to execute tasks in many different areas of the division and this helped me in getting a general view of its functions.
I received a brief formal training before the beginning of the internship. Tha main investment came however in form of the opportunity I was given to work within a team of very helpful people.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Healthcare from home
I would for sure like to continue working with the company. However, I will only know if I got an offer for a job at the end of my internship.
The Culture
Colleagues and fellow interns were really welcoming. This internship was for sure an opportunity to meet really interesting people.
The cost of living was fair, especially relative to the salary level in the area.
The nightlife was mainly in other areas of the city. However, the area in which I worked presented a lot of places where it was possible to realx with colleagues after work.
The city in which I worked is luckily a place with a lot of opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work.
