The Role
At my placement i did a variety of tasks which made every day different and interesting
Colleagues were approachful helpful and friendly from day one
My buddy and councellor checked on me daily to make sure i had enough work and was not struggling with anything
In the last week of the internship I had very little tasks to do as i was finishng up so was not starting on an new projects. I was able to fill any spare time with CSR work and web learning.
Different tasks required different roles of responsibility, but help was always there if i required it
People skill and work ethic will greatly help me in my years at university
The Company
Everyone was helpful and welcoming even between departments
At times they coukd have organised better the tasks allocated to interns as at times there was not as much to do
They provided plenty computer training and development skills and allowed us to learn details about the business
Company Parties/Events
I was given a job offer at the end of the 6 week placement
The Culture
We went on several team lunches and events in the 6 weeks. The interns also went on a few nights out together
Glasgow is very good for shopping with a range of shops and resturants
There are plenty of 'student' nights in Glasgow
Through CSR we got involved in many tasks outside of the workplace
