The Role
Although some tasks were tedious, it was a great experience with many enjoyable perks.
All employees I met were encouraging and friendly .
As I was new to accounting I thought I would struggle but in the end I received fantastic assistance in all the tasks I did and learnt valuable skills.
There were one or two days where work was hard to come by but the majority of the time was filled with worthwhile work.
From day one you are given tasks that contribute to actual client work and as time progresses I was given tasks of more responsibility.
I learned to manage my time in a much more structured way.
The Company
Friendly, interesting but at the same time hard working.
Perhaps too many interns for the work available but my own personal experience was fantastic.
Time was set aside to help me learn all the required information and there was an introductory weekend away which was great. More IT training was required however.
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Got a place on the 2013 Graduate Scheme.
The Culture
Often went for drinks and organised a night out towards the end of the placement.
Fairly reasonable for a city centre.
Plenty to do in Birmingham City Centre.
Had a CSR day that was aimed to help with a local park area development.
