The Role
Accountancy requires a very specific type of person - it was enjoyable most of the time, but there are quite a few moments when you question whether you can really do this on a daily basis!
They were extremely welcoming, treated us like one of the team and friends straight away. Really great - best thing about the firm.
Whenever it was required, and had regular counselling sessions with your career advisor.
Busy most of the time, and it was low season. Got posted out to client sites every week after the initial training, and downtime was filled with a presentation to the partners delivered in the last week.
They chuck you in at the deep end. As long as you prove competent there is little work you'll be doing that an Associate wouldn't.
The main thing to take away is operating in a professional environment and office - along with that is just an actual understanding about how companies work, especially their accounts!
The Company
There was always something going on - in the first week we had the office summer ball, which was a great black-tie event!
The internship team were great at making sure there was work to do, but also that there was a nice social environment for the interns as well. The start and finishing events were also amazing!
They were keen to get me up to speed so that I could function as a team member. they were also willing to put the time in to make sure that I wanted to come back and work for the firm, which is always a nice feeling - to know you're wanted.

Got the Job and have accepted the offer.
The Culture
Yes. We were always hanging out after work and going on our own social events, there was a really good team spirit and definitely made some lasting friends.
Anywhere out of London is great!
Nottingham has world class night life - just ask any student who goes there.
All the time - I even got asked to come play for the netball team, despite never having played before. There were loads of activities to get involved with.
