The Role
The staff I worked with were fantastic and really made me feel part of the team.
I had to swtich line managers at the start of the placement and also my managers had taken holiday etc, because of this I didn't receive the objectives or guidelines for my work until the 3rd week of my 10 week placement. However after this period they were always available if I needed help.
Even though studying a business degree I feel that it cannot prepare you for working in a real company.
The Company
The recruitment process was very good, however I didn't feel that everything had been planned for me when I arrived to the office.

Our placements are reviewed and if we had been successful we get given an offer of joining the grad scheme.
The Culture
Although there were only 5 placement students in our office, Centrica ensured that we had the chance to contact eachother previously. We lived together for the 10 weeks and had a really good time.
Leicester is quite cheap, and Centrica paid for our accomodation which is great. We often went to bars, cinema etc which are quite cheap.
Leicester nightlife is average but we did go to Birmingham one weekend which isn't too far away, which was fantastic.
I was invited to team nights out etc but there weren't many other events like sports etc.
