The Role
Had a mixed experience. In 2 out of 3 weeks in Audit I wasnot given much work, so was rather frustrated and bored. Appreciate thsi is due to being on a client site with no training. In Tax, there were many more people to give me work
Could not do a wide variety of jobs due to lack of training wich would come when joining for real. Did quite a lot of printing, alongside more interesting jobs.
They were happy to answer any questions I had and tried to explain any queries in a way I could understand.
Would have liked more work to do, especially in Audit.
On some jobs I had a lot of responsibilty on certain tasks, requiring client contact. Other tasks I felt like I had little responsibility, when just copying over numbers.
Learned how to use microsoft office software better, which will be useful when finishing my degree project. If I joined for real, would recive proper training.
The Company
Varied throughout my timein Audit. Had to get to know new people every week. Was easier in Tax as I wasin one place the whole time.
There was some confusion as to who I was in my 3rd week in Audit. Also thought that we didn't have enough time in the 2nd rotation before having to make the decision regarding which service line we wanted to apply for.
Training was limited apart from a basic overviewof how to use the software. This would come in more detail if I joined for real. My collegues were happy to help my understanding and development throughout the placement.

Hoping to have an interview soon, of which it has been said a majority of people get a job from.
The Culture
Had drinks on a few evenings. Got to know them very well over the induction weekend and had a couple of subsidised evenings/meals.
Was living at home during placement. Socialising is more expensive than I amused to from Uni, but not unreasonable.
Had a great time. Leeds has a good nightlife, though didn't experiance it to the full extent during the placement.
Going on an away day tomorrow. And had a couple of subsidised evening drinks sessions.
