The Role
The job has been very enjoyable and a great experience.
My colleagues gave me work that was both challenging and valuable for them. Meaning I felt very much valued by my colleagues.
Whenever I required help I was given support, but at early parts I felt slightly out of my depth.
At the beginning the work was mainly research based to build my understand, so it was slightly slow. But once I got into it there was plenty given.
I was given a good amount of responsibility, doing work that would actually help the company, rather than things that would be pushed to the side.
I have learnt so many new skills that I definitely wouldn't have been able to get just from university life. I will take them through to any future career that I have.
The Company
The departments were slightly divided. But there was plenty of communication through out which made the whole experience much more comfortable.
It was clear that much work had been done on the internship process over the last few years, making it far smoother than I expected in the first few days.
There was a good induction process, and whenever I needed help in advancing my skills I was always happily assisted.
If I did well enough through out the process I will be given a graduate place. So fingers crossed.
The Culture
There was a number of past graduates, meaning the peer group was good to go out with.
Lunch was available at low prices and some areas were quite cheap.
Nightlife was average.
There was relatively few activities outside of the office, although a treasure hunt was organised that was very enjoyable.
