The Role
It was great!
All of the people I worked with came across as friendly, chatty and interested in you
I was given a lot of support and guidance throughout my placement and on all the projects I worked on
I was very busy. However, it is better to be busy during a short stay with a firm rather then have nothing to do.
I was given a very limited amount of responsibility. The work I carried out was very rarely seen by clients and involved mostly internal projects.
Working in a professional environment, you very quickly pick up different skills from talking to partners to more technical skills on the computer.
The Company
There was a professional atmosphere in the office, though I never felt out of my depth.
The Summer Internship Team at EY were brilliant. They were extremely approachable and organised everything on the internship
The firm invested both money and time in organising and ensuring the success of the internship program. Open bars, dinners and partner speeches were all organised during the internship.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered a job with the firm.
The Culture
After work drinks and events were organised most evenings, organised by both the summer internship team and interns. All the interns got on really well across each of the service lines.
London is expensive!
Apart from a few bars/pubs, the nightlife around the area wasn't great. Being based in London however means that there is potential for plenty of good nights around the city.
As we were only with the firm briefly, activities outside of the office were limited.
