The Role
The placement was really good in terms of oppertunities to develop yourself and work indepenently.
Due to the fact that there are only a few of you in the branch providing that you are able to get on well with your collegues there is a really good atmosphere within the branch.
Regular development meetings were provided and people were generally willling to assist you with any quieres e.t.c.
There is always something to do and you are rarely left bored; especially if you are working in a busy branch. Providing management/whoever is running the office is well organised then it is a good level of busy - not obscenely stressful.
I was given lots of responsibilty during my placement, often left to run the office, manage difficult customers and got plenty of oppertunities to go out marketing to my own assigned local accounts and build good relationships to build our business.
Lots of skills were learnt during the placement which are guarenteed to be of assistance in the future.
The Company
Lots of banter!
very well set up with regular training and a clear program of what you should be doing.
lots of training oppertunities and regular meetsing about personal development with clear goals.
Company Parties/Events
Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
Good - lots of promotional oppertunities but you do have to be willing to move about at times and travel.
The Culture
Didn't see much of other placement students but social scene between other members of my branch was really good.
Lived at home. However working long hours does reduce social time!
Lived at home.
Had a few area nights out whilst on placement.
