The Role
Not ideally suited to my expertise in geology as project was more reservoir engineering based.
Integrated into team and my input was always taken onboard.
Initial guiding but left to dictate and progress my own work.
Varied from day to day, depending on what taks I had to complete.
I was dictating the project.
The skills learned are very valuable for the hydrocarbons industry.
The Company
The office was quiet and serious, but you could always talk to people and in the atrium and dining hall the atmosphere was much more relaxed. All in all a great working environment
The initial objectives were defined for me, but it was up to myself to organise and stick to a schedule to complete the work.
Ample opportunities were avaliable for development, though not awlways through formal training.
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
The Culture
Already live in area so not an issue.
as above
Numerous opportunites to get involved in activites at weekends and evenings.
