The Role
Great week's training - very friendly HR team and good programme.
All the staff I met were very friendly and involved me in everything.
My line manager was very supportive and gave me guidance throughout the internship.
At the beginning I was given smaller tasks to complete, but towards the end of the programmme I was receiving important and more complicated tasks.
I was given lots of responsibility towards the end of the programme when my team had grown to trust me.
The first week of the internship was spent in training, which was very useful and will be able to assist me in the future.
The Company
Hard working team but very friendly.
The internship was very well organised with weekly 'lunch and learn' sessions and fornightly key note speaker events.
The first week of training was very impressive and the time set aside for learning lunches and speakers was very useful.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Quite a large percentage of interns receive a job with HSBC, which is very appealing!
The Culture
There could have been more events to integrate the interns, but once we got to know each other we organised our own events.
Quite expensive seeing as we were based in London, but not too expensive.
Really good atmosphere in the bars and pubs around Canary Wharf after work.
We received emails inviting us to join the bank's sports team etc and even received a dragon boat eventing email!
