The Role
I'm staying on for a couple more weeks so it clearly wasn't that bad!
I felt very welcome and was definitely made part of the team
Always there to help, the buddy system was very helpful.
My placement was unfortunately during a quiet time in the team, and I don't think this reflects on the normal running of the team.
Hard to gauge in this sector; Whilst I was given lot's of different roles of varying importance, everything was double and triple checked as is the norm. They obviously can't let an intern have client contact!
Very useful skills if I choose to continue in this field, but they're not really relevant to my degree of study. The office experience has been a useful experience though
The Company
I've always assumed offices to be dull places to work but the atmosphere here made it quite enjoyable.
Clearly a lot of planning had gone into it. There was a bit of an issue with emails not reaching a lot of us interns though regarding our projects.
They certainly gave us a lot of time to get up to speed and learn on the job.
Flexi Time
Company Parties/Events
Very good, but I would like to take a year out to travel before starting a job, not sure if this would be an option.
The Culture
There were only 4 of us and 2 of them had to travel to get to work so rarely came out. The projects did create social situations though.
Bristol is pretty expensive, and socialising with earners at work is definitley more expensive than student socialising! All in all wasn't too bad though
I love Bristol, I go to uni here.
Some, but not many. I think the summer holiday is a quiet time for work activities, due to many people being on holiday.
