The Role
I was given lots of interesting work to keep me busy which made the time fly
I was very welcomed, but understandably I wasnt the most important person! I would not have expected to be.
My questions were always answered, I never felt like a great hassle and I had regular progress reviews.
Sometimes a lot of work to keep me busy, sometimes I would be going out to market which was very interesting. Great balance.
I feel I was given as much responsibility as I could have been, considering I was an intern.
I want to pursue a career in the industry, so the skills will be very helpful. I also think I can apply a lot to my last year of university.
The Company
A good work ethic, balanced by a good amount of fun at times to keep it from getting dull.
The internship is still relatively new so I am not surprised there were a few minor issues. I feel that the communication between the placement organisers and my office could have been better, as I was occasionally left uncertain about what my next steps would be or how I was being assessed etc. But then perhaps the secrecy is part of the idea, I don't know.
I feel the company has donated a lot of time and money to prepare me for a graduate scheme.
I would really like to work for the company again, a graduate scheme would be ideal.
The Culture
We often met up for lunch or after work, which was nice to know how everyone else was getting on. We were also put into groups to do charity projects, so this was helpful for that purpose.
London is very expensive, but that is not surprising. You can find cheaper options and the company did have some discounts in some cafes etc.
More of an after-work drinks in a bar sort of atmosphere, which suited me well.
Sports teams and fun games are all there (even surfing once!). The opportunities might not be staring you in the face, but they are defnitely there. Doing a charity project also helped this a lot, working with the other interns.
