The Role
The internship was everything I expected and a lot more, I enjoyed going into work each day as each day I was learning new things.
I was made to feel an integral part of the team from the beginning right through to the end.
Other staff were always willing to help me with any questions I had.
Whilst out at a clients office you were more busy compared to being in the office.
I was given important sections within the auditing process.
The auditing skills I picked up will not assist me with my Economics degree but will provide me a head start if I pursue a career in auditing.
The Company
Everybody in the office were friendly and talkative providing a good atmosphere.
The internship was very well organised from start to finish.
The techical training week before the internship ensured a good level of personal training and development.
BDO offer a large proportion of interns graduate positions and they promote internal promotions.
The Culture
We went out several times and all got on well.
I lived at home during the internship but prices in Birmingham are reasonable,
Birmingham has really good night life especially on Broad Street!
BDO had after work drinks and a football tournament in Southampton whilst I was partaking in the internship.
