The Role
This internship confirmed that I really want to work in the financial sector.
I was always treated like a full member of the team. My team organized drinks after work and introduced me to other people from different divisions.
Each member of the team took time to explain me the projects I was assigned to do and I could also ask questions.
The working hours were long, but not unusual for the industry.
I started off with small projects and then moved on to projects with more responsibility
I had the chance to get to know the whole business and to learn about many different products. I also got a really good idea of what is expected from me and what things I need to work on. It will also help me to choose the right courses when I am back at university.
The Company
In general, the atmosphere was really good and this is mostly because people are really polite to each other and friendly in general.
Internship objectives were discussed at the beginning and closely followed
Many speaker series, own bbg account, HR really helpful and supporting, etc.
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Many teams do not know whether they will have headcount and some desks are not hiring. But this seems to be the general consensus in the industry at the moment.
The Culture
organized parties, sightseeing events and much more
Not the best area we were offered, but subsidized and very social, because many interns decided to stay there
Awesome, but I personally did not make much use of it
Mostly during weekend only
