The Role
I have thoroughly enjoyed my placement, it is a once in a lifetime expericne that I would reccommend to any student.
From the very beginning I was made to feel welcome by everyone in the team. The whole company has made me feel valued, eventhough I am only part of it for a short time.
At the beginning there was a 5 day training programme which was very helpfull as I knew what to expect when I started. I was also given constant feedback on my performance along with regular reviews. This was very benefical as it ensured that I was continually improving my performance.
There were some days when I was very busy and had to efficiently prioritise my workload, and there were other days where I wasn't as busy which allowed me to concentrate on work that wasn't need ASAP. It gave me the opportunity to see what it was like during both and busy time periods.
I was given the right amount of responsbility for someone of my experience within the company. I was given a significant amount of responsbility that allowed me to feel asthough I was making a significant contribution towards the business.
The experience has shown me that it is a career that I want to persue and has made me determined to do so. It has also given the work drive that I will need for my final year of University. The experience has also given me skills that I would only have learned within this working environment. I believe that it has given me the confidence to know I can succeed.
The Company
The atomsphere was always very welcoming and friendly. There was always someone to talk to, but with an emphasis on completing the work. I was also given the opportunity to attend a few work events which helped me build upon relationships with my colleagues.
It was very well organised from the very beginning of the process. I was always aware of when milestones were coming i.e. training sessions, review sessions, etc. There was always a clear agenda given before an event occured which were given in plenty of time before the event.
The company invested a lot of time and money in personal training and development. There were personal goals that were set and the company was more than happy to help me acheive this. There were regular training sessions and catch up sessions.

Company Parties/Events
I hope I will have future employement within the organisation, but there is a formal process that I must go through first.
The Culture
There were regular social events organised for the students on the placement, at the beginning, middle and end of the placement. These social events were catered for young students and there was always fun to be had.
I was living at home during my placement, but the cost for me to travel was quite high. With regards to socialising where I was, it was fairly low cost.
The night life was good, as there were plenty of bars and clubs. There was also the annual comedy festival one when I was there, which I would highly recommend.
There were specific social events organised purely for the people on placement. But during the placement there were lots of opportunities to get to know colleagues better.
