The Role
enjoyed it very much, would recommend to anybody looking at a career in sales and trading.
due to little ability to be given responsibility, felt difficult to be valued. however all were very nice to me.
all supervisors were fantastically helpful, had time for you to explain things and guide you through tasks
consistently had work to do but did have some time with not too much on.
not too much, but understandable as it would be illegal for me to do many things, eg. trading.
not really applicable to my biology degree, but was fantastic basis for what will hopefully be a future career in finance
The Company
lots of good spirited banter between individuals, but coupled with a serious work ethic
HR had clearly taken alot of time setting up and was very well organised from their side. some desks were not too well prepared for your arrival though.
given a week's initial training before commencing on desk which gave a briliant overview of the bank etc
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
highly likely to be offered a job at the end
The Culture
everybody socialised well and relatively frequently
living in london will always be expensive, however you are paid well
did not really go out much due to early starts and living outside of london at the weekend, but the nights I did do were brilliant
some volunteering days were offered, not much else
