The Role
The people were really friendly and the work was very interesting. It was a difficult transition from uni life to working long days every week.
I was given as many tasks as possible which would contribute to real projects. I was also included in all team events while I was here.
My line managers were fantastic in supporting me and clarifying anything I didn't understand.
Between the group internship project and my day-to-day work I was kept very busy during the ten weeks.
Most tasks I carried out were for other, more senior team members but the work I did do was solely down to my own efforts.
I've learnt so much about the banking sector whilst working here and that will be extremely valuable when I start work full-time.
The Company
It was very relaxed and there was good banter between the team. It helped having the olympics on during the summer which gave the place a chilled out feel.
Very well organised, the grad recruitment team kept in contact throughout the internship setting up opportunities for the whole group.
There was a training week provided at the start of the internship and several spotlight sessions to maintain that learning throughout the ten weeks.
Company Parties/Events
After working here for ten weeks I feel that I would be very happy to work here full time.
The Culture
There were lots of after work events for both the interns and within the team I worked in.
It is an expensive area to live in! However, there are loads of places to go out and do things.
Loads of bars/clubs all around
Opportunities in both the team and as a group of interns
