The Role
It was exactly the type of placement I was looking for in terms for giving me some focus for my future career plans.
The team were welcoming and it did not feel like you could not ask for help if you needed it. Everyone was caring and really looked out for each other. Someone was always around to give a helping hand.
Assigned a mentor, would have weekly review sessions to check my progress. I felt this to be a great opportunity to discuss any concerns with my mentor and find out ways of getting the most out of my placement.
Usually would have at least one task to continue with or complete in a day. This allowed me to have somehting new to look forward to everyday.
I was solely in charge of one of my projects. I was happy with the trust they placed in me as they clearly though I was competant to handle myself :)
The internship has improved my communication skills within a working environment. I suppose it would help in future interviews etc,
The Company
People were friendly and outgoing. This made the environment a great place to work. There weren't any of the usual office politics which was great.
Set up very well, very much focused on my own personal development. This allowed me to get the most out of my placement and really keep me in the control seat. If i wanted to work ona particular project my superiors were more than happy to accomodate.
My mentor in particular was keen to what I could personally gain from the internship in terms of skills.
I would be great to get onto the graduate scheme despite how extremely competitve it is.
The Culture
Interns were in various different offices, but there were a few social events, which brought us all together. this was a great opportunity to hear about other placement students experiances.
Central london is expensive, particularly considering it is not a paid placement.
Plenty of nice pubs, if that what interests you.
ould volunteer at a number of CR UK events.
