The Role
Exceeded expectations
Everyone kept stressing how they saw us as the "future" of the firm so to speak, but I didn't feel particularly differentiated from the others on the scheme.
Hit or miss - depending on who you worked with and if they had the time to spend with you.
Some days were busy enough to need me to stay till well after 9, others were dull as anything. But such was the nature of the department it seemed.
I don't they could give us much given the short scheme.
Learned more here than at school!
The Company
It would have been nice if they considered letting us bring along partners, or even better if they gave us permission to skip one or two so as to carry on with the rest of our lives.
Fantastic work by the recruitment team there.
Although one will really know only if one becomes a trainee!
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I like to be optimistic.... if I'm offered a contract, I'd take it in a heartbeat and it sounded like almost all of us would as well. The only ones who wouldn't aren't saying no due to the firm, but to the legal profession as a whole.
The Culture
Yes, ameliorated by formal programming.
Very pricey! Central London. Most people ate at the subsidized canteen.
City--- none!
One had to be proactive I think. If you looked for it, they were there.
