The Role
It was an awesome experience working for Cummins. I thoroughly enjoyed my time with the company.
The work environment was excellent. Every colleagues were very supportive and helpful. They never treated me as any different than an employee.
The management was very helpful. They were always there for every student. We had various training from the company throughout the year.
It was fairly busy in my everyday job. I have been given lot of responsibilities as a student and I enjoyed it.
As compare to other students in my plant I have been given a lot of responsibilities by my department and I gave my 100% effort.
With my experience I can say that doing a placement helped me a lot. It gives a better perspective in life, I have learnt a lot of things which is not possible in academic life.
The Company
The atmosphere was quite nice and very professional.
Being such a big organisation the entire placement design was excellent. Students were encouraged to involve with so many activities apart from their job roles.
From my point of view spending 1 year with the company was the most valuable experience in my degree and I really appreciate the way company treated me.
Flexi Time

Above 25 days holiday
Healthcare from home
Future employment prospect is very much bright. However global recession made a huge effect on the recruitment of the company. I am quite hopeful that I will be offered a job in the near future.
The Culture
We had over 30 students in the plant and we all use to go out every now and then. I must say I had a good social time.
Unfortunately, the town was very small and there was not many things to do. Living expenses was also on the higher side.
There was only 1 club in the town and it was horrible.
I was involved in lot of sports activities from the company but nothing really outside work.
