The Role
It was an eye-opener into the world of audit - it's hard to know what it's like unless you experience it - a must if youre thinking about it
Everyone was very friendly, included 'in the fold' so to speak
Most were happy to answer questions, some expected wuite a high level of knowledge already
a mix of both too bored or too busy but i guess that's the life of an auditer
I was given whole subsidaries to analyse on one job, my work was always checked but that was reassuring rather than taking away responsibility
It's defienitely good to help me to come to terms with what i'm getting myself in for working with one of the big 4, not something to be taken lightly
The Company
It was very quiet most of the time but sometimes it was a good laugh
When I arrived in the office it was like nobody knew I was coming. Some other interns were already booked up for their 8 weeks on jobs, my scedule was empty - there was not a lot of work available
Not a lot was invested in me.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I will probably be offered a job and I will probably accept it for the sake of security in the current climate but it's not necessarily an appealing job.
The Culture
nothing was organised after the induction days. We tried to organise a few but everyone was out on clients at different times
I lived at my uni house during my placement so the cost is normal to me
Again, it's my usual, it's ok.
Niot really for an intern - didn't really hear of anything - to be honest I wouldn't have had time
