The Role
Not very challenging and diverse. Found myself repeating lots of tasks. Not a substantial amount of progression.
Was inserted in a very open, welcoming team.
My manager was very kind and helpful and attempted to help with issues highlighted in appraisals.
OK balance. Sometimes I had too many responsibilities to balance, other times not enough.
I was given quite a lot of responsibility and this was definitely a great opportunity to learn.
Skills very particular to my particular job within my team.
The Company
Good atmosphere. Dull at times, not a lot of communication nor team bonding social events.
Well organised. Guidance from manager and help from HR throughout.
Citi put in a lot of investment (eg training materials, access to training sessions, social events, etc.)
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
The Culture
Average. Citi did not do a lot to promote this, unfortunately. We had some events every now and again, but a culture of togetherness was never fostered. This was different from other experiences I had had in the past.
Canary Wharf is quite expensive. Subsidised lunches definitely helped.
Over-priced and not that good. Canary Wharf is notorious for that.
There were some social events, but not many unfortunately. Citi did not work very hard to foster a culture of togetherness amongst the interns.
