The Role
The job allowed me to work to the full extent of my knowledge and thus clearly grasped my interests in several areas which i had not worked in before.
As this as been a year placement, the work allowed me to gain more responsibility which means that I was more of a value towards all of my collegues
My managers have been supportive with all the work that I have done over this placement
It used to be a clear cut balance
Several different projects were 100% my responsibility, and some others where there was shared responsibilities with my collegues
Several different aspects of this placement have been very crucial as they have taught me to use them for the rest of my life
The Company
We were a team that besides work, also had carried out several social and team building activities.
The placement was overall 100% perfect
I not only had trainings wit my collegues, which means taking out their time. Also the team had sent me of to another site whereby I received additional trainings there from one person. Not only did these trainings stop there, they continued throughout the placement
Flexi Time
Subsidised Canteen
Subsidised/Company Gym
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Working from home
As the placement had involved me to take on several different projects, this allowed e to work with a mixture of people and thus have been introduced to several important managers. This showed that there was a good prospect for me within the organization
The Culture
During the placement there were an intern community of around 80 interns. This made a really good social scene, whereby there are several who am still in close contact with. This placement had greatly given the oppurtunity to meet individuals that would not have met at university. All coming form different backgrounds, with different cultures, and also the difference in ages played a great role.
The cost of living and the social scene was relatively cheap, and there could be a great deal of savings as well from the salary
Within the city there are streets with different clubs all playing different musics. A very lively scene on Friday and Saturday nights!
During the placement there were some oppurtunites that were able to be carried out outside the place of work, these included sales in some of the partner retail shops.
