The Role
The week was a fantastic opportunity to gain an invaluable insight into an investment bank. The talks we were given and exercises we completed were all very enjoyable.
Although only there for a week, all employees of the bank were very approachable and friendly.
We didn't have personal mentors for the week, but the HR team who organised the week were very helpful.
The days were structured with a timetable given at the beginning of the week so there was always something to be doing.
Since it was only a week introduction to the bank we were given few responsibilities.
The spring week gives you a better idea of whether you would want to work in an investment bank, and if so which division you may want to be in.
The Company
The offices I work shadowed in were all hardworking and people seem devoted to their jobs, but everyone was still willing to take a minute to talk to you.
The HR team did a great job of getting a variety of divisions to speak to us and tasks for us to participate in. Timings were generally good although a couple of sessions ran over and cut the next one short. The two social events in the evening were well organised too.
Many employees came to speak with us, so in that sense a great deal of time was invested in giving us the best insight possible.

The company pledges to give everyone an interview for an internship the following summer, which can then lead onto a job offer.
The Culture
Everyone was very sociable and the bank organised drinks on the first night and dinner on another.
Bank of America provided fantastic accommodation for those living outside London.
Didn't get a chance to explore this fully.
Drinks on the first night to meet others on the spring week. Easy to meet up with everyone staying in the provided accommodation.
