The Role
Very well planned insight week that delivered an excellent package which was fun and enjoyable. The only difficulty I had was that the week was multi-divisional, so some information was irrelevant or difficult to understand.
Very friendly staff and interns.
Great support from the HR team, who were always willing to go the extra mile to help us, even with setting up extra work-shadowing placements and the like.
We were always busy, but didn't feel rushed or over-stretched, and definitely not bored!
Only an insight week, so no responsibility expected.
Because of the breadth of the course (multi-divisional) I learnt a lot about the different facets of Investment Banking, not just the division I had applied to shadow. The course was educational, so I took away a lot from the course: knowledge about the field as well as personal and career skills.
The Company
Always fun and friendly, and people were very keen to get to know each other. When we were work-shadowing the teams were very friendly and would come up and introduce themselves and chat to us.
Excellent organisation with down-to-the-minute timing, so the team managed to pack a huge amount of content into a relatively small amount of time.
As the week was just an insight week there wasn't really any personal training. However, the investment in us was great, as several very senior people from the company spoke to us and spend time with the group.

Company Parties/Events
Students on the Insight Week are invited to apply early to the internship programme.
The Culture
Very good social scene, with events on several evenings with the intern group and also recent joiners to the business.
Accommodation all provided, and food was cheap (for London) in the area of London we were in (Stratford). Canary Wharf and the City are inevitably quite expensive, being in London.
Buzzing scene in Canary Wharf and some very nice bars in the city.
Not really, because the course was so short.
