The Role
Enjoyed it much more than I anticipated. Gave me a reason to get out of bed at 5.00am.
Thye treated me as part of the team since day 1. Never felt left out or under-appreciated.
Really well structured. The whole team were always happy to help and offer advice when I needed it no matter how menial the question.
Given as much responsibility and small tasks as possible. Due to extremely low volumes of trade, there were periods where the office was very quiet. There is nothing that could have been done to avoid this, however.
Involved from day 1. Felt priviliged to have been given such an opportunity. Seemed to have more responsibility than some of my peers.
Skills should be perfectly suited to any future job I may have in the industry.
The Company
Really friendly and entertaining atmosphere. Low volumes mean that some periods were quiet.
Perfectly organised. Many opportunities to network with senior professionals. Well thought-out review system and good communications between line-managers, buddies, interns and HR.
Week-long training programme, exposure to senior executives. Opportunities to trade in the markets.
Subsidised/Company Gym
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Very positive about prospects, escpecially when considering the uncertain macro environment.
The Culture
A really good group who met up numerous times outside of work and will continue to be in contact with in the future.
London is clearly an expensive area, however, the financail rewards of the job more than compensated for this.
Large number of bars in the area, with great transport links to everywhere else in London.
Not many opportunities outside of work. Plenty of activities inside of work to keep us busy though.
