The Role
People were nice and helpful. There was generally a welcoming and helpful atmosphere.
My colleagues always asked me to do important work, it was never simply "secretarial". I got to deal with my own work from all angles. At the beginning people weren't sure what i was capable of but once they had a feel they were very willing to give me work that really helped them out.
People were willing to give the time and assistance needed to understand things; There was nothing like "too many questions"
I always had work to do but I was also able to get a lunch break. You need the break each day
I had jobs that were going to people round the bank and i got to contact people myself and follow through with things i had started. This meant the research, the execution, the meetings as well as the recognition. The recognition made it all worthwhile
I will be able to use the skills i have learnt like attention to detail, research skills and communication skills both in my law degree and as transferrable skills into anything i do in the future.
The Company
Everyone gets on which other really well, and people are generally have fun and light-hearted personalities
It was done really well. HR was fantastic.
There were regular development events - usually twice a week from larger groups to smaller groups and you always felt like you were learning something. You also partake in training like a new employee.

Subsidised/Company Gym
I would love to work here. It has been an amazing experience
The Culture
Interns tend to go out on fridays and you can easily make friends with the interns your around
Canary Wharf can be expensive but there are some really good areas with affordable drinks and deals you learn about on the way. Living near canary wharf is actually generally good prices as it is not in central london.
There is no real "nightlife" per say in canary wharf, but there are good places for drinks in the area and it is not too far from nightlife in central london.
There was the chance to get involved with some activities and HR organised some fun events
