The Role
I really enjoyed it. It was a well rounded programme in to what an Investment Bank had to offer. It wasn't just restricted to the obvious investment banking and sales & trading talks, but was extremely diverse.
My fellow interns were great, HR had picked a group of similar-minded and passionate individuals which all got on really well and jelled very well together. The employees there were just as great, they were all very welcoming and open to answer any questions you had be it on the day, or follow up via email.
There was a good support network. There were several members of HR present which represented all the departments and were on hand to provide valuable advice and insight.
The presentation based nature allowed many presentations to be done in one day, however there were also other interactive events such as a panel chat, stock pitch game etc.
As a Spring Insight Intern there is no such work given, so to directly respond to the question, there was no responsibility given. But on the flip side, you were responsible for your own actions and whether or not you maximised the opportunity in front of you.
A lot of transferable skills were learnt, such as team-working, communication and team-leading. However, there was no such technical training as you were not expected to know any.
The Company
The Bank had a really good culture, it was quite a dynamic atmosphere but also very friendly and people were willing to spend time on you if you were willing to listen.
It was extremely well organised, this should be a credit to the HR team. The myriad of events were great. It was very diverse and provided a well rounded overview of what the bank had to offer.
As the programme was only a week long there was very little scope in terms of personal training and development. Although, HR did provide 'Skill Sessions' on presentation skills, application advice and numerical test help.

Company Parties/Events
I've managed to secure a Summer Internship with them in 2013.
The Culture
The interns were all very sociable and were willing to meet up after the day had ended.
I travelled from home, and so the only expense I had was train travel, which was reasonable.
London does have a good nightlife.
The day would normally end by 7, providing ample free time to do other things.
