The Role
Amazing experience where I have learnt a lot of key skills, that are very important when looking for a career.
Fit in straight away, welcomed by everyone and no one treated me differently because I was an intern.
Excellent support network through line manager, graduate talent manager, buddy and graduate board.
Depending on deadlines, some days were very quiet and some days were extremely busy. There was always work to be done, however sometimes there was little to do, as you were waiting on others.
I was literally running the show when I was given the chance to hold my own team building event for the whole department (5 different teams). I was involved in large projects which was an excellent way to get me involved.
The skills I have learnt have been very useful, especially as I am studying the same degree as my stream. I can use the knowledge I have gained in my final year project, and the skills I have learnt in all walks of life.
The Company
My team and department were very very nice and welcoming. When I first arrived I was scared it would be a strange atmosphere as everyone was older than me, however it was a great experience and I have made some life long friends. There was also always food available through kind bakery donations!
Organised well, a lot of time and thought has gone into it which shows quite clearly.
A lot of time, money and effort is invested into this placement oppurtunity which comes through the experience. Very thankful for the oppurtunity and would definitely recommend it!
Subsidised Canteen
Company Car
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
So far, I've been able to advance all the stages of interviews and presentations, before I am told if I have got the job. Final decisions will be out soon. However, I would definitley recommend this company.
The Culture
Yes
Lived at home
I lived at home so can't say
We had a charity challenge where we could expand beyond the workplace, which was very exciting and one of the highlights of my time here.
