The Role
The Spring Insight Week was a well balanced placement with a variety of exercises and work shadowing to suit individuals interested in the different business areas operated by the bank.
The whole week was based around a team, in my case everyone valued each other to the highest degree.
The management (HR) team could not do enough to help you. The mentors who were used for work shadowing were also incredibly supportive.
As aforementioned there are a variety of exercises used throughout the week, you will certainly not be bored!
With this being an Insight Week naturally there is a limit to the amount of responsibility one can expect to receive. However, in areas where it was possible the maximum amount of responsibility possible was passed over to us (the participants).
The Spring Insight Week is an incredibly useful experience.
The Company
A dynamic environment would be the best way to describe it.
The organisation, from logistics, to talks, to lunch was perfect.
The Spring Insight Week is all about the participants.
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
I have been offered a summer internship in 2013 that will hopefully lead on to a job.
The Culture
When possible yes!
Accommodation, transport, lunch and some social events were paid for by the firm.
It's London so great, but there wasn't really any time to experience this.
The week was non-stop so again there wasn't much time.
