The Role
I enjoyed this internship very much. Having had no experience in marketing before I finished with a strong knowledge of the profession. Furthermore, my place in a digital team was very cherished given it is a growing division within the business.
I felt valued by the strong majority of my team
The support and guidance varied, as expected, from manager to manager.
There were occasions where I was exceptionally busy and others where I was exceptionally bored, which proved frustrating at times.
I was given a coordinating role in the launch of a product online.
Stakeholder management was a key learning from this placement
The Company
I didn't like the actual office block. It was quite clinical to be honest. This view was compounded when I visited marketing agencies in Central London which were havens of creativity.
I'd say it was well organised.
We had an excellent day with a public speaking consultant. Apart from that nothing else really happened
Subsidised Canteen
Company Parties/Events
Working from home
I couldn't work in Staines. It is quite an isolated environment
The Culture
My fellow colleagues were amazing, we went out for drinks after my first day of work. As for the other interns, they were quite a boring bunch, all of them seemed to focussed on their job and getting on the graduate scheme
Greater London
I lived at home in South West London so it was great
None worth going to
