The Role
It was a very busy week where lots of different things were organised and I met some great people. The culture is fantastic where they encourage learning and always want to help you.
Everyone got on really well with each other and due to the variety of activities, we got to know each other quite well and it helped that everyone was really friendly
They always encouraged you to ask questions no matter how stupid you might have thought they were. They were always willing to help with concerns and queries. HR was especially helpful.
There was a balance between interactive activities, social events and listening to presentations from various divisions so although the week was busy, we definitely learnt a lot!
There were numerous group activities where we had to work as a team to put together pitches/presentations so everyone had to contribute.
The placement was absolutely fantastic because it gave an insight into the firm, its divisions and cultures. From listening to the business reps to working on group presentations, we were constantly learning/improving our skills. If you want to pursue a career in banking, this insight is invaluable and if you decide that banking isn't for you, you can still take away so many skills from the insight week.
The Company
Everyone was really bubbly and more than willing to help.
HR did a fantastic job of organising everything as there was a lot of variety.
They really wanted to get to know us individually and they constantly highlighted that we are the future of the company.
Subsidised Canteen
What appealed to me the most was the firm's culture so I would definitely consider a career with them.
The Culture
We got on really well as a group so we did socialise together.
London is rather expensive!
London is known for its nightlife
The placement was only for one week so not many opportunities.
